Case Study: White Oak Pastures 2019
After rebranding and designing a new website for White Oak Pastures in 2018, online sales exploded. At first, the company struggled to fulfill so many orders direct-to-consumers, especially given the high cost of shipping perishable goods from a farm located in a remote part of southwest Georgia. Once again, they turned to Kent Dagnall to craft shipping policies, write FAQs, and design packaging so products could reach customers wherever they were, fresh and on-time.
Customers were also becoming increasingly vocal about the carbon-footprint of having their products shipped such long distances. After researching many alternatives, Kent recommended a revolutionary new type of biodegradable packaging and designed outer boxes from post-consumer waste that did double duty by telling the brand’s story through graphic art.

Case Study: Working Cows Dairy 2020
As if shipping meat across the country wasn’t enough of a challenge, White Oak Pastures referred Working Cows Dairy to Kent Dagnall Consulting for help launching a direct-to-consumer website to sell organic, grass-fed cheeses and butter.
Dairy products cannot be frozen in transit, so we had to integrate the Working Cows Dairy website with FedEx shipping calculators to ensure prompt delivery and proper insulation, while keeping the cost as low as possible. Using the FedEx API to programmatically calculate shipping dimensions and weights of various handmade products was a challenge, but worthwhile to reach customers willing to pay a premium for one of the nation’s only USDA Organic, Certified Grass-fed, and Animal Welfare Approved dairy farms.
